Ebola Debunked & How to Boost Immune Function
Despite previous examples of hyped-up viruses and bugs threatening to wipe put the entire human species, the media and the public yet again repeat this trend of causing unwarranted fear in the minds of many. This is not to say that Ebola is not a serious disease, but that ignoring some basic facts is causing unnecessary anxiety to a significant number of people.
First of all, Ebola has exposed the terrible health conditions endemic in Africa. With good medical support like we have in the United States, Ebola patients are likely to survive, much like Cholera infections. Given aggressive fluid replacement and other basic health care, these and many other previously overblown infections are not lethal.
If you are anxious about Ebola, or catching any bug for that matter, how about changing your diet? If you have been reading this blog you know that processed foods, particularly refined sugars, suppress the immune system. Eat a lot of veggies, take the time to de-stress, and clean up the environment around you as much as possible by removing toxins. Ebola is more likely to infect those with weak immune systems and unhealthy lifestyle patterns, like excess sugar consumption. And, of course, observe basic hygiene measurements to cut down on exposure.
Here’s a list of my favorite supplements for boosting the immune system:
- Pomi-T
- Probiotics
- Vitamin D3
- Zinc
