Baked Butternut Squash “Fries”

You won’t miss the real deal when these delicious bites come out of the oven!



4 slices turkey bacon, chopped into bite-sized pieces
1 butternut squash
tsp. fresh or dried rosemary, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-2 tbsp. olive oil
1⁄4 tsp salt
1/4 freshly ground pepper



  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and scatter the cut turkey bacon on the parchment.
  3. Roast for 15-20 minutes.
  4. While the turkey bacon is roasting, cut the butternut squash in half and remove the seeds and the peel.
  5. Cut the butternut squash into fries.
  6. Remove the turkey bacon from oven. Toss the squash, herbs and garlic with the roasted bacon and olive oil. Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Return to the oven for about 30 minutes or until the fries begin to brown slightly and crisp up.
